Can anyone volunteer or must I belong to a church?

We welcome all volunteers regardless of their religious affiliation.

How will I know what to do?

Experienced volunteers supervise all of these areas and will give you clear instructions. Opportunities include cooking eggs, plating or serving food, cleaning tables, distributing grocery bags and traffic control both indoors and outdoors during our Hunger Prevention Program; serving food to children and their families during KidZone; helping with social service needs, office work, building maintenance and much more.

When can I come?

If you would like to volunteer during our Hunger Prevention Program, any Saturday morning except the first Saturday of the month (we are closed), please arrive by 8:30 AM. If you are coming with a group, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 212-375-1765 or send an email to so your group can be scheduled appropriately.
